Poster-Crop Quiz: A Look Back at the Best And Worst Movies That Opened on July 4

Jul 04, 2013

Kick the tires and light the fires, patriots. It's time for another Poster-Crop Quiz. This week... we celebrate... Independence Day! Well, specifically we are taking a look back at some of the best and worst movies released over the July Fourth weekend.

Arranged in order from best to worst (top to bottom), we've taken the posters from these summer flicks and cropped them to smithereens! See if you can identify these posters by their fragments and leave your guesses in the comments section. Don't like the order we've put them in? Think we've committed glaring sins of omission? Leave those comments below as well. The first person to correctly name all 10 posters will receive a shout-out in next week's quiz. Happy Fourth!

We would be completely derelict in our duties if we didn't set this quiz off with a glimpse at the poster for one of the greatest July Fourth weekend releases, and generally best summer movies, of all time. Independence Day not only made a superstar out of Will Smith, but reminded us all that it is every American's duty to punch invading extraterrestrials right in the face.

Last week's answers: Bad Boys, Starsky & Hutch, 48 Hrs., Rush Hour, Tango & Cash, Dead Heat, Cop Out, Lethal Weapon, Hot Fuzz, The Other Guys. Special commendation to Daniel Howart for picking all 10 posters out of last week's lineup.
