You've got the cape, you've got the tights, all you need now are the boots. This week, Man of Steel soars its way into theaters, and wouldn't you know it... it's another reboot. We say "another" not simply because Superman was just (sort of) rebooted seven years ago, but because Hollywood is, and for many years has been, crazy for rebooting well-branded properties. We've shaken the old poster tree, which is something we wish were more than figurative, and compiled a list of big-screen reboots from the last 15 years. See if you can identify all 10 posters and leave your guesses in the comment section below. The first person to correctly name all the posters will receive a shout-out in next week's quiz, though honestly we'll probably revamp that shout-out into a much flashier version next year.
To kick things off, we thought we'd take a look at one of the most improbably outstanding reboots in recent memory: 21 Jump Street. Phil Lord and Chris Miller took a late '80s television series, one fading quickly from our collective memory, and turned it into a hysterical and brilliantly self-aware high school action flick. HFS!
Answers from the last quiz: Independence Day, Men in Black, Hancock, The Pursuit of Happyness, I Am Legend, I, Robot, Men in Black III, Hitch, Shark Tale, Men in Black II. Props to Paul for being the first to ace that quiz.
