Prepare to be rescared, readers. It's time for a very eerie edition of the Poster-Crop Quiz. In honor of our favorite telekinetic returning to the screen and the prom in Carrie this weekend, this week's quiz is all about horror remakes. Some are good, some are awful, and some seem to offend die-hard fans with their very existence. However, remakes have been around for decades and are almost as much a part genre as the films they are rehashing.
We've gathered posters from 10 remakes throughout the years and let all manner of monsters and madmen cut them to ribbons. See if you can identify all 10 horror-remake posters in the comment section below. The first person to do so will receive a shout-out in next week's quiz. If you've already received one in the past, think of this one as a shout-out reboot.
To kick things off, feast your eyes upon the poster for the Evil Dead remake. It may not have lived up to its ballsy claim of being "the most terrifying film you will ever experience," but in this writer's opinion, it was an exceptional supernatural horror flick worthy of its predecessor.
Last week's answers: Avatar, Cowboys & Aliens, From Dusk til Dawn, Haywire, Major League, Pearl Harbor, Pineapple Express, Signs, The Smurfs, Spring Breakers. Congrats to last week's champion: Paul.
