New Images: 'Pacific Rim' Monster Blood, 'Man of Steel' Cast and 'The Wolverine' Gets Bloody

The Wolverine snow

If a picture is truly worth a thousand words, this article is going to be a long one. We’ve got the latest stills from The Wolverine, Man of Steel and Pacific Rim for your perusal today.

We get things started with this gruesome image from Guillermo del Toro’s giant monsters vs. giant robots movie, Pacific Rim. This photo turned up online this morning with the cryptic caption “This is as close as you ever want to get to Kaiju blood.” Why yes, yes it is – because we find blood kinda gross and don’t generally go out of our way to be near it in the first place. This is why we disappointed our mothers and avoided going to med school.

The blood in question clearly comes from the film’s Kaiju, which are the giant monsters Charlie Hunnam and company will be battling. Looks more like an oil spill cleanup or the black goo from The X-Files to us, but we’re still totally stoked to see this film when it finally stomps its way into theaters this summer. Your guess is as good as ours when it comes to figuring out how Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot, Man of Steel, will do when it opens on June 14, but we can say this – the cast sure does look dapper.

Cinema Magazine scored a great shot of the full team – sans costumes – in its latest issue. Check it out below. [via Geek Tyrant]

From the Man of Steel to the man of Adamantium, we move from Superman to Wolverine.

While we’re still eagerly awaiting the arrival of the first trailer for James Mangold’s The Wolverine (reportedly due before the end of the month…), we can all tide ourselves over with these new stills from the film.

The production has released three new photos from the production, and our favorite by far has Hugh Jackman’s character standing in a Japanese garden with his claws fully extended – and bloody. We already like this movie more than the first Wolverine film and we haven’t actually seen anything more than pictures…

The Wolverine slashes its way into theaters on July 26. Enjoy the photo below. [via IndieWire]
