Brian De Palma's adaptation of Stephen King's novel set a high-water mark for terrifying teens in 1976, thanks in large part to Sissy Spacek, then 26, who elicited sympathy as 17-year-old Carrie, a waif-ish outsider and prototypical little horror girl. Barely 16 herself, Chloe Grace Moretz will place her own imprint on the character in Kimberly Peirce's new version of Carrie. Will she earn a place among the most memorable young ladies of horror?
