The fourth installment in a series that began 10 years ago, Ice Age: Continental Drift continues the colorful story of friendly prehistoric creatures struggling to survive. Over the years, Hollywood has slowly evolved in their presentation of such beasts, both in a technological sense -- from stop-motion animation to computer-assisted graphics -- and in historical perspective -- from a simplistic view of all prehistoric creatures as predators to a more complex, multi-layered appreciation of how they fit into the eco-system.
