This year sees the English-speaking debut of three really great Asian directors. First came Jee-woon Kim's Arnold Schwarzenegger vehicle The Last Stand, and in limited release this weekend is Chan-wook Park's Stoker , followed by Joon-ho Bong's Snowpiercer later this year. All three of these guys are must-see filmmakers when working in their native tongue, but that talent doesn't necessarily translate to great movies when they work in English. As the following list illustrates, some can make the jump, while some cannot.
