Knowing it's the new film from Laika Entertainment, the creative minds behind Coraline, should be more than enough to cement interest in ParaNorman. That this new, international trailer looks like a ton of kid-infused, safely macabre fun is just the icing on the already sold cake.
Directed by Sam Fell (The Tale of Despereaux) and Chris Butler (a storyboard artist on prior Laika productions Coraline and Corpse Bride), ParaNorman stars Let Me In and The Road's Kodi Smit-McPhee as, according to Yahoo Movies UK who premiered the new trailer, "a misunderstood boy who can speak with the dead and has to take on ghosts, zombies and grown-ups to save his town from a centuries-old curse." Sounds pretty groovy, no?
Furthermore, ParaNorman features the supporting voice talents of John Goodman, Anna Kendrick, Leslie Mann, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Tempestt Bledsoe, Tucker Albrizzi and Casey Affleck. And on top of all that great vocal talent, it looks to feature some of the coolest, stop-motion animation around.
