Pacific Rim

Pacific Rim: Last month, Paramount introduced a $50 "Mega Ticket" for World War Z, which included a ticket to the movie in 3D, an HD digital copy, small popcorn and collectible goodies (poster, 3D glasses). Not to be outdone, Canadian theater chain Cineplex is introducing a $20 "Super Ticket" for Warner Bros.' Pacific Rim, which includes a ticket to the movie and a digital copy -- the price goes up depending on the format(s) selected. Cineplex is already selling digital copies of other movies through its website; Pacific Rim opens on July 12. [Cineplex]

The Wolverine: Marvel's The Wolverine, directed by James Mangold, stars Hugh Jackman as the claw-enabled superhero and follows him as he travels to Japan for a life-changing adventure. The first Japanese poster has popped up online, and a closer look at the sword may provide further hints about the storyline. The movie, which also stars Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova and Hiroyuki Sanada, opens only in theaters on July 26. [Coming Soon]

Only God Forgives Trailer: Due in U.S. theaters on July 19, Nicolas Winding Refn's Only God Forgives will be expanding to the U.K. on August 2, and to mark the film's release there, a new trailer has been prepared. The style-drenched action of the movie, starring Ryan Gosling and set in Thailand, remains much the same, but the musical accompaniment -- "2020" by Suuns -- gives it an even more wickedly atmospheric feel.
