We're in the homestretch as far as summer blockbusters are concerned. It seems that all the doom and gloom Steven Spielberg and George Lucas were spreading hasn't come to pass for 2013. This summer seems particularly diverse, what with superheroes, monsters, sci-fi, zombies, a Western and female buddy cops. 

According to Box Office Mojo's weekend box office report (June 28 to 30), Monsters University is holding the top spot with $170 million total. The Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy comedy The Heat is following with $39 million total, and World War Z holds the number three spot with $124 million combined.
