The Opening of 'Now You See Me' Makes Us Want to Magically Watch the Movie Right Now

Everyone loves a good heist movie. They typically involve a few blue-collar underdogs pulling one over on the super rich; a Robin Hood act most people can get behind. Everyone also loves a good movie about illusionists, because they're basically another kind of heist movie, instead of stealing money, they're stealing one's attention to pull off the impossible. It was only a matter of time before a movie combined the two. That movie is Now You See Me, and judging by the clip below, it's going to be a whole lot of fun.

Directed by Louis Leterrier (Clash of the Titans), Now You See Me stars Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fischer and Dave Franco as a team of illusionists who use their powers of misdirection at magic shows to somehow drain the massive bank accounts of some of the biggest business leaders in the world and give the money to their audience. Naturally the authorities don't take too kindly to that, and so it's up to an FBI agent (Mark Ruffalo) and an Interpol agent (Mélanie Laurent) to bust them in the act.

The movie hits theaters on May 31, 2013, and the folks at Summit Entertainment have wisely put the first few minutes of the movie online to entice audiences. And we're glad they did, because it really works. It's got a good sense of humor, a good sense of spectacle, and a good handle on its ensemble straight from the get-go. Trust us, it won't spoil anything and the ending will definitely leave you wanting more.
