'Noah' Behind-the-Scenes Clip Throws Russell Crowe to the Ground

Jul 22, 2014

Noah is a stunning piece of filmmaking. Of course, that's to be expected when it comes to a movie about the construction of a giant ark intended to survive an apocalyptic flood, but Darren Aronofsky pushes his movie far beyond your standard biblical epic and turns it into a transcendent, engrossing spectacle. Seriously, there are just some downright gobsmacking visuals in this movie, with many of them coming before the big flood even happens.

Noah is currently available on Digital HD and will hit Blu-ray, DVD and VOD on July 29. And on that Blu-ray you'll find a number of special features that dive into the making of the movie, including this snippet below that shows off some of the stunt work that yanked Russell Crowe and Ray Winstone around a very real, very large set.

Knocking two guys over seems like it'd be easy to do, but as you can see in this clip, there's actually a lot of different layers that go into pulling it off. Check it out.
