Fire and Ice

A trio of concept art images from Robert Rodriguez's hypothetical Fire and Ice movie (inspired by Frank Frazetta's art, not to be confused with George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire) have hit the web and, surprise surprise, they look positively Frazetta-ian.

Danny Boyle's Trance, about an art heist that goes wrong, has just found two more cast members: Rosario Dawson and Vincent Cassel.

Mimi Leder (Deep Impact) will direct a remake/re-adaptation of 1930 Best Picture winner All Quiet on the Western Front, which will be scripted by Ian Stokell and Lesley Paterson.  No cast has been annouced for the film, which is about trench warfare in WWI.

I've yet to be fully impressed by the current wave of period piece genre mash-ups, but I'm definitely interested in Here There Be Monsters if Robert Zemeckis does indeed end up directing this story, written by Brian Helgeland, of a Revolutionary War hero who fights sea monsters.

Walmart has finally integrated Vudu, the media streaming service it purchased a year-and-a-half ago, into its website, giving consumers yet another option in the movie streaming marketplace.

New Year's Eve, AKA The Movie That Casts Based on Total Number of US Weekly Appearances, finally has a trailer and looks exactly like what you'd expect from the team that brought you Valentine's Day.

And if you need something to wash that down with, give the Australian trailer for Lucky McKee's truly unique The Woman a try.
