8 Great ... Memorable Dates in Movies

Everyone always talks about great date movies. You know, those romantic, sappy flicks that you can safely take your date to without her thinking that you’re some kind of gore-loving horror fiend (like me). What most people don’t often talk about, however, are some of the greatest dates in movies. Characters are always dating in film, and often in pretty unique ways, so we decided to gather up some of the best movie dates in our latest 8 Great… Enjoy and Happy Valentine’s Day!

(500) Days of Summer

They may not have the healthiest relationship (and it certainly doesn’t end in your typical romantic comedy fashion), but Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) and Summer (Zooey Deschanel) in Marc Webb’s (500) Days of Summer easily have one of the greatest dates in cinematic history as they traipse through an Ikea store, pretending to be your typical American suburban family, serving an imaginary dinner and ultimately falling into bed together. All without a care in the world for the other shoppers or the outside world. It’s a singular moment of in-the-honeymoon-phase-of-dating beauty that only makes the dissolution of their relationship all the more poignant.
