Guardians of the Galaxy

Slow morning at the office? Struggling to kill time until lunch? These new videos will not only pass the time, but entertain you in the process. Just don’t let your boss see what you’re doing.

We are totally pumped for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy – the latest entry in the comic giant’s ever-expanding cinematic universe – and this new extended clip hasn’t done anything to diminish our excitement.

The new extended clip (courtesy of Fandango) is online and features fresh footage of the universe’s most unlikely band of heroes doing their thing. It seems obvious the tone of James Gunn’s film is going to be slightly more lighthearted than the standard Marvel fare, but we’re cool with that. Nothing wrong with laughing while watching good conquer evil, right?

While we still think Guardians might be a bit of a tough sell (outside of comic fans, most people aren’t familiar with these characters), it looks like Marvel and Gunn have gone all out in their quest to bring the team to a mainstream audience. Watch the clip below.

Grab your umbrellas and chainsaws, because there’s a Sharknado headed to a television screen near you.

Sharknado 2: The Second One is set to make its Syfy debut on July 30, and in celebration of that momentous event the channel has released a brand new trailer for the film.

Ian Ziering and Tara Reid must survive not only tornado-force winds, but giant ravenous sharks in this sequel to the cult classic feature. The new preview features everything you’d expect from a Sharknado sequel, including sharks, tornados, Ian Ziering with a chainsaw, tons of cameos, and even more cheesy effects. Our advice? Watch this clip and batten down the hatches until this latest Sharknado blows over.

Finally, we wrap things up with three new clips from The Purge: Anarchy. The sequel to 2013’s hit genre effort follows a new character (played by Frank Grillo) as he navigates America on the one night of the year where it’s totally legal to kill anyone you choose.

The new clips (including one that’s age-gated because its content is NOT SAFE FOR WORK) give us an idea of what to expect in the new entry. If you guessed violence and mayhem, good job!

This year’s purge kicks off on July 18 – so start making your list now. [via IndieWire]
