Go Behind the Scenes of 'Godzilla' and 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' in These Clips

X-Men Days of Future PastWho’s ready for some featurettes? If the answer is “me!” you’re in luck – because we’ve got new clips for X-Men: Days of Future Past and Godzilla to share with you today.

We kick things off with three more X-Men clips. I think it’s safe to say that the media blitz for Bryan Singer’s latest is in full swing, and we’re hoping that Fox doesn’t go overboard with the new footage between now and the film’s May 26 release date. Currently, they’re still safely in the sweet spot as far as footage is concerned. We’ve seen enough to let us theorize about things, but not so much that we feel like there are no surprises left.

These new clips show off some fresh footage while allowing Hugh Jackman to talk about the film’s story. With each new preview and teaser, we get a little more excited about this film. Check out the videos below and see if you agree. [via Cinemablend]

As excited as we are about Days of Future Past, we’re even more excited about Garth Edward’s rebooting of the Godzilla franchise.

Edwards has another video interview out, and in this one he talks about his goals for the film. He wanted his take on Godzilla to be a serious affair, much like the original Japanese film (which often is misremembered as a campy B movie). He then discusses how Spielberg’s work influenced him, and how he aimed for a balance between story and the visual effects.

Edwards is saying all the right things in these interviews – let’s hope all of these elements he was aiming for come together in the finished film. We’ll find out when Godzilla attempts to destroy the box office on May 16. [via JoBlo]
