"From director Steven Spielberg and producer Peter Jackson..."
That's really all one needs to hear, isn't it? But for those who are a bit more demanding, please enjoy the second trailer (watch it below) for Universal's The Adventures of Tintin, which opens here at the end of December. The UK, however, gets the flick next weekend. Tintin is a much bigger deal over there than it is here, and I don't mean that as a knock on the beloved character. Over here we're just much more concerned about movies like Marmaduke, Garfield, Alvin and the Chipmunks, and Yogi Bear.
Like many Americans, I know next to nothing about this Tintin kid, and you know what? I'm fine with that! All I know is that it looks like a big ball of animated fun, and it's based on a beloved character that I know very little about. In today's movie landscape, that's considered a "must-see." Still not convinced? Fine: Edgar Wright is one of the screenwriters. Yeah, I thought that'd perk you kids up a bit.
