The awkward wallflower with crazy mind powers went from meek to murderous when her classmates pushed her to the brink, and now Kimberly Peirce aims to create a more faithful adaptation of Stephen King's 1974 novel, revealing Carrie's deeply disturbing relationship with her mother, Margaret White (played by Julianne Moore), and high school frenemies.
