Actor Miles Teller is out talking up Divergent, but that didn’t stop IGN from getting the young star to discuss his casting in Josh Trank’s upcoming Fantastic Four reboot. Teller’s playing Reed Richards in the new cinematic updating of Marvel’s First Family, and he reveals what attracted him to the project in the first place.
“Well, for me I didn't grow up really as a comic book kid necessarily. Fantastic Four is my dad's favorite superhero comic. And so for me I guess what attracted me originally was Josh Trank Chronicle, you look at what he did for that budget and just how he told the story was really well done. I want to chase directors at this point, and then the cast kind of came together -- Michael B. (Jordan), Kate Mara, and Jamie Bell -- I was very excited."
To be honest, Trank’s the main reason I’m interested in an FF reboot too.
Chris Hemsworth promises that Avengers: Age of Ultron will blow your socks off
When Thor himself speaks, we tend to listen – and that’s what Chris Hemsworth is doing this week, stoking the hype machine (as if it needed it) for Joss Whedon’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The actor promises that this sequel will be bigger and better than ever. He offered up the following quote as proof at this past weekend’s Wizard World Comic-Con in Sacramento:
“Everything in (Age of Ultron) is ramped up, though. It kind of blew me away reading (the script). I don’t know how Joss (Whedon, writer-director) does it, but everyone has gone up another notch and the whole thing is bigger and more exciting and crazier. Yeah, he’s a genius.”
