If you survived last night’s Sharknado sequel, don’t leave your storm room just yet – there are more deadly sea monsters on the horizon.

Roger Corman is set to unleash the imaginatively titled Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda: A Love Story onto unsuspecting Syfy audiences this Saturday night – and we’ve got some nifty artwork to share from what promises to be the most romantic movie about genetically modified sea creatures with a taste for human flesh released this year.

In the new film, the offspring of Sharktopus goes fin-to-fin with the Pteracuda – which is just what the name describes: a half-barracuda, half-pterodactyl hybrid that’s all business. Robert Carradine and Katie Savoy star in the new film, but both have been upstaged by an appearance from Conan O’Brien.

Corman, always a cinematic maverick, is largely responsible for the popularity of all these weird killer-shark films of late. The legendary producer and director has been making B movies for decades, and Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda is production number 409 to bear his name. He’s also directed 56 features on top of that. That’s the equivalent of about five normal careers.

Will Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda stand amongst his finest works? Probably not, but given Corman’s involvement we have no doubt that it will still be a lot of fun. Watch the film on Syfy this Sunday night at 9 p.m. EST.
