Movies Chat is our new work-in-progress chat show hosted by Managing Editor Erik Davis. Each month we'll release multiple episodes that feature 15-20 minute conversations with some of the web's most notable movie experts.

Over the course of the past week, Warner Bros. and DC have begun to reveal their master plan to compete against Marvel and their massive Avengers, which has currently grossed over $1 billion worldwide. That plan begins with hiring screenwriters for a new Justice League movie, as well as solo films for Aquaman, The Flash, Green Arrow, The Suicide Squad, Lobo, Shazam, and more -- not to mention the questions surrounding Green Lantern and what's next for the Batman franchise.

Joining me today to talk all these things and more are two massive comic book geeks and Countdown writers, Jeffrey Taylor, of The Superman Homepage and the Man of Steel Countdown, and Chris Clow, of and The Dark Knight Rises Countdown. Together the three of us go over all the latest news, as well as our thoughts on how Warner Bros. can bring it all together to make it just as exciting and entertaining as those Marvel movies you love so much.

You can listen using the player below, and feel free to email me any questions, comments and concerns to movieschat AT gmail DOT com.
