Movies Chat is our new work-in-progress chat show hosted by Movies.com Managing Editor Erik Davis. Each month we'll release multiple episodes that feature 15-20 minute conversations with some of the web's most notable movie experts.

Yesterday brought news that the long-in-development Fraggle Rock movie had taken another step closer to becoming a reality by hiring Rango co-writer Jim Byrkit and Alex Manugian to write a script for New Regency. Will this be the script that finally helps bring one of Jim Henson's most personal and imaginative creations to the big screen, or will it fail to push past the script stage like those previous versions?
Joining me to discuss the potential Fraggle Rock movie and whether it can find success with today's moviegoing audience is my buddy Keith Calder (@keithcalder, KeithCalder.com), producer of films like The Wackness, The Greatest Movie Ever Sold and the upcoming You're Next.
You can listen to our chat below, and feel free to email me any questions, comments or concerns to movieschat AT gmail DOT com.
