Movie News: A Very Cold 'SPECTRE' Photo; 'Gambit,' 'Apes' and 'Assassin's Creed' Get New Release Dates

SPECTRE: It looks like James Bond will be getting quite cold in his next adventure. A new behind-the-scenes photo reveals a foggy, very wintry location for the first day back after a holiday break in filming SPECTRE, which will bring the famed British secret agent back to theaters on November 6. Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and Naomie Harris return; Christoph Waltz, Monica Bellucci, Lea Seydoux and Dave Bautista also star. [Twitter]


Channing Tatum / Gambit

New Release Dates: It's time to update your calendars, as several highly anticipated movies from Fox have new release dates. Gambit, starring Channing Tatum as the titular superhero, is now set for October 7, 2016. The team-up flick The Fantastic Four 2 has moved forward a month to June 2, 2017, leaving its old release date open for the next Planet of the Apes installment on July 14, 2017. Video game adaptation Assassin's Creed, starring Michael Fassbender, will arrive in theaters on December 21, 2016, just in time for the holiday season. [The Wrap]



Ghost in the Shell: Reportedly, Scarlett Johansson, who was offered the lead role in a live-action version of the Japanese manga Ghost in the Shell back in October, is now confirmed to star. Brought to the screen most notably in a 1995 animated movie, the new adaptation will be directed by Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman). The story revolves around a secret law-enforcement unit that battles technology-related crime. [Variety]



Mortdecai TV Spot: A new television spot for Mortdecai features a number of amusing sight gags starring Johnny Depp as an art dealer searching for a stolen masterpiece.
