Ender's Game / The Impossible

Spider-Man: Asa Butterfield (Ender's Game, above left) has been rumored to be the new Spider-Man, but other actors reportedly tested for the role over the weekend, including Tom Holland (The Impossible, above right) and four young hopefuls: Judah Lewis, Matthew Lintz (Pixels), Charlie Plummer (TV's Boardwalk Empire), and Charlie Rowe (TV's Red Band Society). Jurassic World: Colin Trevorrow (Jurassic World) has already lined up a couple of post-dinosaur projects, and now he says that he won't be directing the next installment in the franchise. James Ponsoldt

West of Sunset: James Ponsoldt (The Spectacular Now) is in negotiations to write and direct West of Sunset, revolving around famed literary figure F. Scott Fitzgerald and his unhappy adventures in Hollywood in the late 1930s. It's based on a novel by Stewart O'Nan that is drawn from Fitzgerald's real-life troubles with his health, marriage, and finances. Ponsoldt's The End of the Tour is due out in theaters on July 31. The Face of An Angel Trailer: Kate Beckinsale stars as a journalist in The Face of An Angel, inspired by a recent high-profile murder case in Italy.
