Nymphomaniac: Shia LaBeouf traveled to Berlin over the weekend in support of his starring role in Lars Von Trier's sexually adventurous Nymphomaniac. But he left a press conference after one question -- answering, in the words of French soccer star Eric Catrona, "When the seagulls follow the trawler, it’s because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea.” (?!) Later he wore a paper bag on his head at the red-carpet screening. (?!) The movie will be presented in two parts in the U.S.; Nymphomaniac - Part 1 opens on March 21. [Variety]

Independence Day 2: Though it is not "set in stone," word is that Will Smith will not be joining the long-in-development sequel to 1996's Independence Day. Two versions of the script have been in development, one with Smith's cocky fighter-pilot character, and one without, with the goal of getting the film into theaters in 2016, in time for the 20th anniversary of the original release. The Square: Nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary, The Square is not yet officially available in its native land of Egypt because censors have not made a ruling on the film, which covers the protests pushing for changes in the government. Discovering that the film has already been widely pirated, director Jehane Noujaim has decided to make a high-resolution, Arabic-language version available to stream in Egypt, without waiting for official approval. Silicon Valley Trailer: Mike Judge, the man behind Beavis and Butt-head, King of the Hill and Office Space, is ready to take a fresh look at the world of Internet start-ups. The first, funny NSFW  teaser for Silicon Valley, his new series that will debut on HBO on April 6, shows why that could be a very good thing indeed. [The Playlist]
