Movie News: See a Cool Reenactment of John Carpenter's 'They Live'

They Live

They Live: John Carpenter's 1988 science fiction cult classic They Live, set in Los Angeles, revolves around an alien invasion by extraterrestrials who control mankind via subliminal messages. This week two Los Angeles artists, Stephen Zeigler and Calder Greenwood, reenacted scenes from the movie, guerilla-style, complete with "signage and [an] actor dressed as an alien in a business suit as seen through Roddy Piper’s magical glasses that reveal the truth of existence." The Karate Kid

Karate Kid 2: Director Breck Eisner (The Crazies) has exited Karate Kid 2, the sequel to the 2010 reboot of the 1984 original, and a new writing team has been hired to draft a new version of the screenplay. Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith are still set to reprise their roles. [Deadline]


The Interview

The Interview: First we heard from an unofficial spokesman that North Korea was not happy about the upcoming comedy The Interview, in which Seth Rogen and James Franco are enlisted to assassinate North Korea leader Kim Jong Un, and now an official spokesman has described the movie as "tantamount to an 'act of war'" and spoke of "a decisive and merciless countermeasure” if the U.S. government allows the film to screen in theaters. The Prince

The Prince Trailer: Bruce Willis is the bad guy in The Prince, heading to theaters on August 22. He's a New Orleans crime boss who wants revenge against Jason Patric, aka the Prince, an assassin turned family man, so he kidnaps Patric's daughter, leading to all kinds of trouble.
