Movie News: Olivia Munn Joins 'X-Men: Apocalypse'; First Look at Sylvester Stallone As Rocky Balboa in 'Creed'

X-Men: Apocalypse: Olivia Munn (Magic Mike) will join the cast of X-Men: Apocalypse. Director Bryan Singer made the announcement via social media that Munn will be playing Betsy Braddock, aka Psylocke, a superpowered ninja. The movie is due for release on May 27, 2016. [Instagram]

 

Creed

Creed: Sylvester Stallone and Michael B. Jordan (Fantastic Four) are featured in the first official image from Creed. Stallone released the photo via a social media account, with the caption: "Get ready to go for it!" Jordan plays the grandson of Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers), while Stallone will reprise his role as Rocky Balboa, this time as a trainer and mentor to the young boxer. Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel: Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Meg LeFauve (Inside Out) are "nearing a deal" to co-write the screenplay for Captain Marvel, the first movie from Marvel Studios that will be led by a female superhero. "Her adventures are very earthbound, but her powers are based in the cosmic realm," said Marvel exec Kevin Feige when announcing the movie last year. It's heading to theaters on July 6, 2018. Aloft Trailer: Jennifer Connelly stars in Aloft as a mother who experiences an accident with her young son that drives them apart. Years later, the son (Cillian Murphy) works with falcons in the wild, and she has become a well-known artist and healer.
