World War Z

World War Z: Recently the first trailer for the zombie epic World War Z debuted, but that doesn’t mean the movie is completed. Extensive reshoots are continuing on the production, and new images of a bloodied Brad Pitt have surfaced, although, frankly, he doesn’t really look worse for the wear. The movie opens next summer. Pinocchio: Will a Kick-Ass writer convince Robert Downey Jr. and Tim Burton to sign on the dotted line for a new version of Pinocchio? Jane Goldman (Kick-Ass, X-Men: First Class) is in negotations to work on the script for Warner Bros.’ Pinocchio, which focuses on a wood-carver who searches for his magical puppet turned son when he goes missing. An early draft of the script was penned by Bryan Fuller, creator of beloved TV shows Dead Like Me and Pushing Daisies. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Steve Jobs: When he was hired, superstar writer Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network, The Newsroom) made no secret of the fact that he had no idea how he would be adapting Steve Jobs, Walter Isaacson’s massive biography of the Apple cofounder, into a movie. He has now licked the problem: he plans to structure the movie around three lengthy sequences taking place in real time backstage before significant Apple product launches. [The Daily Beast]

Admission Trailer: The first trailer for Admission, which is the first teaming of Tina Fey and Paul Rudd, reveals a bright-looking comedy about parenthood and responsibility. Fey is a college admissions officer, Rudd runs a commune, and somebody might be getting reunited with a child they never knew. The movie is due in theaters on March 8, 2013. [Yahoo! Movies]
