Guardians of the Galaxy

Guardians of the Galaxy: We know that an orb plays an important role in Guardians of the Galaxy; we can tell by the way that Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) is staring at it in a new photo. We also have a beguiling new look at the very colorful Nebula (Karen Gillan); the movie opens in theaters on August 1. [Facebook]

Ender's Game

Star Wars: Episode VII: Reportedly, director J.J. Abrams will conduct a highly secretive table read of the Star Wars: Episode VII script with cast members in London tonight, which means that we are awash in rumors. The newest is that Harrison Ford will have a "gigantic" role, as opposed to a cameo-sized supporting part, as it's believed Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher will have. Rumors persist that Oscar Isaac (Inside Lleweyn Davis), Adam Driver (Girls), John Boyega (Attack the Block) and Zac Efron will land major roles, alongside little-known Maisie Richardson-Sellers. The Heat

Sandra Bullock: How do you follow up a bawdy comedy (The Heat) and a sci-fi thriller (Gravity)? Sandra Bullock is "circling" the lead role in an untitled movie about the sales executive who came up with the idea of Tupperware parties in the 1950s and thus propelled the company to fame and fortune. Tate Taylor (The Help) has written a script, based on the book Tupperware Unsealed, and is attached to direct. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Godzilla Trailer: A new Godzilla trailer for Asia places Ken Watanabe front and center as the voice of reason (and doom), along with Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen and Bryan Cranston. We also get a very clear look at the frightening monsters that threaten the future of mankind. The movie stomps into theaters on May 16. [YouTube]
