She's Gotta Have It

She's Gotta Have It: Spike Lee's first feature, She's Gotta Have It, is coming to the small screen as a television series for premium cable network Showtime. Lee will write and direct the half-hour comedy drama, which will feature a contemporary look at characters living in Brooklyn. The 1985 original followed a woman's complicated love life, involving three very different men, including Lee himself. [Deadline]

Pitch Perfect

Mr. Right: The always adorable Anna Kendrick (Pitch Perfect) thinks she's finally found the perfect guy (Sam Rockwell) in the upcoming Mr. Right, only to discover that he's a hit man. But it's OK -- he's reformed! Or is he? Max Landis (Chronicle) wrote the script and Paco Cabezas will direct. The project is set to shoot this fall, so we're hoping to see it in theaters next year. Gotham Trailer: The upcoming TV series Gotham is all about origins, as young police detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and his partner Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue) deal with characters who will become the Penguin, Catwoman, the Riddler and Poison Ivy. We're also introduced to young master Bruce Wayne; Jada Pinkett Smith plays a gangster known as Fish Mooney, a new character. The series debuts this fall on Fox, and has just been officially picked up for 13 episodes. []
