Movie News: Marvel's 'Avengers: Infinity War' Becomes First Movie to Shoot Entirely in IMAX

Avenger: Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War: Marvel has set Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeeley (above) to write the two-part Avengers: Infinity War. They previously worked on all three Captain America movies, including the upcoming Captain America: Civil War. The company also announced that the two movies will be filmed in their entirety using IMAX cameras, marking the first time that's been done for a feature film. Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1 is due in theaters on May 4, 2018, with Part 2 scheduled for May 3, 2019. [Marvel]

 

Thor: Dark World

Annihilation: Natalie Portman is in early talks to star in Annihilation, the next project from writer/director Alex Garland (Ex Machina). It's based on a novel by Jeff VanderMeer, which "follows a biologist who signs up for a dangerous, secret expedition where the laws of nature don’t apply." Production is expected to get underway early next year. [Variety]

 

Cinderella

Baby Driver: Lily James (Cinderella) may star opposite Ansel Elgort (The Fault in Our Stars) in Edgar Wright's action movie Baby Driver. She's in negotiations to play a role described as the 'muse and conscience' of a skilled getaway driver (Elgort) who is forced into working for a crime boss. Filming is scheduled to start in September. [Daily Mail]

 

Jurassic World

Jurassic World TV Spot: Playing like a greatest hits collection, a new extended TV spot for Jurasic World features dinosaurs eating things, dinosaurs running, dinosaurs threatening people, and dinosaurs grabbing people runnning for their lives.
