X-Men: Days of Future Past

X-Men: Days of Future Past: Even if you watched the first trailer for Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past mutliple times -- we did too! -- Magneto's new costume, in and admidst all those character moments, might have missed your attention. So here's a chance to catch up and gaze at it -- and star Michael Fassbender -- for a few more moments. What else is there to do until the movie comes out on May 23, 2014? [Superhero Hype]

SEAL Team 666: Dwayne Johnson, Hollywood's go-to action guy, is adding another such role to his burgeoning pile of upcoming projects. He'll star in SEAL Team 666, which is about "an elite group of Navy SEALs who battle demons and assorted threats and discover that there’s a greater supernatural force bent on destroying the world." It's based on the most recent novel by Weston Ochse, a military veteran with 29 years in service; Evan Spiliotopoulos (Johnson's Hercules) has completed a screenplay. [Heat Vision]

Sweden's Gender-Bias Rating: Four theaters in Sweden have begun issuing ratings on gender bias in movies. An "A" rating is only given to films that pass the "so-called Bechdel test, which means it must have at least two named female characters who talk to each other about something other than a man." According to a theater representative, "The goal is to see more female stories and perspectives on cinema screens." Reaction by moviegoers has been mostly positive since the rating was introduced last month. [The Guardian]

Winter's Tale Trailer: Lushly romantic, the first trailer for Winter's Tale features a thief (Colin Farrell) who falls in love with a dying woman (Jessica Brown Findlay from Downton Abbey) and is pursued by a villain (Russell Crowe) sometime in the past. Then he is transported to modern-day New York and meets Jennifer Connelly! Looking like a visual feast; it's heading to theaters on Valentine's Day. [Warner Bros.]
