Texas Chainsaw 3D

Texas Chainsaw 3D Sequel: Audiences turned out in droves for Texas Chainsaw 3D last weekend, with the movie making $23 million at the box office, so it’s no big surprise that yet another installment in the series will be coming soon. Titled Texas Chainsaw 4, production is slated to begin later this year; it’s not yet known if the producers and Millenium Films will aim for another January release -- or how they plan to continue the story. The Muppets 2: Two hosts of the Golden Globes may star together in a beloved sequel. Fomer Globes host Ricky Gervais has already been set to star in The Muppets 2, and now comes word that Tina Fey, who will cohost the next Globes show with Amy Poehler on Sunday night, is in “late-stage negotiations” to fill the female lead role. The new movie will find our favorite puppets on an adventure in Europe; Fey would play a prison guard at a Russian gulag. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Fifty Shades of Grey: The very adult sexual exploits of a man and a woman are detailed in steamy publishing sensation Fifty Shades of Grey, and now the writer who is adapting the book for the big screen says it will be NC-17. “There is going to be a lot of sex in the film,” says Kelly Marcel “It’s going to be raunchy. We are 100 percent going there.” Of course, a final rating is a long way off, but it should be interesting to see if Universal Studios and its indie arm Focus Features really will "go there" -- and if audiences will turn out in large numbers for an NC-17 adaptation. The Last Exorcism Part II Trailer: The idea of a sequel to a movie calling itself The Last Exorcism may be perplexing, but forget about that for a moment and check out the trailer for The Last Exorcism Part II, which is completely unnerving (especially with the lights off), no matter what you call it. The movie is due in theaters on March 1. [Yahoo! Movies]
