Safe

Viva La Madness: We heard back in June that Jason Statham (above in Safe) would star in Viva La Madness, based on a book by J.J. Connolly, who wrote it as a followup to his novel Layer Cake, which itself served as the basis for a 2004 film starring Daniel Craig. Now it's been decided to adapt the book as a TV show rather than a movie, with plans to make at least 10 one-hour episodes. It will be the first television series for Statham, who will play a drug dealer who managed to retire early, but finds himself 'itching' to get back in the business. [Digital Spy]
