The Amazing Spider-Man 2

The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Jamie Foxx looks like he's ready to electrify the world -- or at least Peter Parker -- in a new photo from The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Foxx plays Max Dillon, who transforms into Electro, a villain who can control electricity. The movie will charge into theaters on May 2, 2014. [Latino Review]

The Best Man Holiday: We won't have to wait another 14 years to see more of the romantic (and comic) adventures of the friends who form the core of The Best Man Holiday, which opened to big box numbers this weekend. Malcolm D. Lee, who wrote and directed both The Best Man in 1999 and its sequel, is already in negotiations to perform the same duties for the next installment of the series. [Deadline]

Anchorman: The Legend Continues: The folks behind Anchorman: The Legend Continues have mounted an impresively varied marketing campaign, including tie-ins with ice cream and trucks. Now we're hearing that fictional newscaster Ron Burgundy, portrayed by Will Ferrell in the movies, will have a school named after him -- at least for one day. The Emerson College School of Communication in Boston will celebrate the occasion with a visit by Ferrell and a screening of the movie, which opens wide on December 20. [New York Times]

Tarzan 3D Trailer: Already playing in theaters in Germany and Russia, the motion-capture animated version of Tarzan holds a strange fascination, falling quite a bit below the standard established by the big-budget Avatar, but somewhat above Saturday morning cartoons. A new German-language trailer only reinforces this impression. We're still waiting to hear if this will get a U.S. release; Kellan Lutz has recorded the voice for the title role. [Coming Soon]
