Inner Workings: The first look at the animated short Inner Workings gives a glimpse inside the body of an ordinary person. Story artist Leo Matsuda (Big Hero 6) directed the short, which will screen before Disney's Moana, due for release on November 23. The short will pit a fearful brain against a good-time heart inside an office worker tempted to ditch work and head to a nearby beach. [USA Today]

Sylvester Stallone: Jim Mickle (Cold in July) will direct Sylvester Stallone in a thriller. Currently untitled, the movie will revolve around an aging ex-con who learns that his son has died and decides to seek vengeance against his killers. [Deadline]

 

Brad Peyton

Malignant Man: Brad Peyton (San Andreas) will direct Malignant Man, a big-screen adaptation of a comic book series. Published by Boom! Studios, the series was cocreated by James Wan (The Conjuring 2) and follows a man diagnosed with a terminal disease who "discovers that his malignant tumor is actually a mysterious alien parasite." He must then fight a secret army. Wan is also producing the movie. [THR]

 

Kevin Hart: What Now?

Kevin Hart: What Now? Trailer: The first trailer for Kevin Hart: What Now? focuses on the prelude to the stand-up comedian's performance, as Hart enters a casino for a little comic mischief. The movie will open in theaters on October 14. [Movieclips]
