Edge of Tomorrow 2: Emily Blunt, who costarred with Tom Cruise in Edge of Tomorrow (above), says director "Doug Liman has got an awesome idea [for a sequel] and he’s excited and they just need to write it. There has been a script, but now I gather there’s another one in the works." She also says that Cruise asked her about doing the sequel last year; she hopes she will be available if the project comes to fruition in the future. [Indiewire]

 

Avengers: Infinity War

The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle: Robert Downey, Jr. (above in Avengers: Infinity War) announced via social media (below) the voice cast that will be joining him in The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle, including Emma Thompson, Rami Malek, Octavia Spencer, Ralph Fiennes, Kumail Nanjiani, Tom Holland and Marion Cotillard. Stephen Gaghan will direct the live-action/CGI adventure, which revolves around a doctor who can talk to animals; it's due for release next year. [Twitter]

Boss Level: We just heard that Naomi Watts is in negotiations to costar in Boss Level and now comes word that Annabelle Wallis (The Mummy, above) has joined the cast. The thriller follows a military veteran (Frank Grillo) who is trapped in a deadly time loop; Wallis will play a dental hygienist with a crush on him. Mel Gibson and Will Sasso are also confirmed to costar. Joe Carnahan (Stretch) will direct. [Deadline]

The House with a Clock in Its Walls Trailer: A young orphan (Owen Vaccaro) must help his uncle (Jack Black) locate a powerful timepiece that could bring about the end of the world in the first trailer for The House with a Clock in Its Walls. Cate Blanchett also stars; Eli Roth directed. The fantasy horror film will open in theaters on September 21. [Movieclips]
