Red Notice: Dwayne Johnson has announced the release date for his next collaboration with director Rawson Marshall Thurber. In Red Notice, Johnson will star as an Interpol agent who is assigned to capture the most-wanted art thief in the world; it will open in theaters on June 12, 2020. The actor and director previously worked together on Central Intelligence (above with Kevin Hart) and the upcoming Skyscraper. [Instagram via Deadline]

 

Lashana Lynch

Captain Marvel: Lashana Lynch (above) is in final negotiations to join Captain Marvel. Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Jude Law, Gemma Chan and Ben Mendelsohn are already set to star in the superhero action-adventure, to be directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck and released in theaters on March 8, 2019. DeWanda Wise was previously cast in the unidentified role, but had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts with the second season of her Netflix series She's Gotta Have It. [THR]

 

The Exorcist

The Grudge: As a new version of The Grudge moves toward the start of production, we're hearing about more new cast members as well. John Cho (TV's The Exorcist, above) is the latest talented addition; he joins Andrea Riseborough and Demian Bichir. Nicolas Pesce (Eyes of My Mother) wrote the screenplay and will direct the new installment in the horror franchise, which revolves around a powerful curse and vengeful ghosts. [Variety]

Can You Ever Forgive Me? Trailer: Melissa McCarthy stars as a writer in Can You Ever Forgive Me?
