Movie News: Disney Seeks Kevin Hart as Santa; See Hugh Jackman Make Old Man 'Logan' Look Good

Dashing Through the Snow: Kevin Hart is in negotiations to appear as Santa Claus in Dashing Through the Snow, a Disney family comedy. Santa must convince a workaholic New York City detective to believe in Christmas magic so he can repair his broken relationship with his son. Logan: Hugh Jackman can be seen staring into a mirror in a new image from Logan. He plays the X-Men mutant character Wolverine as an older gentleman who has stopped using his superpowers. Despite the scars and bullet holes, though, he still looks pretty good. The movie is scheduled for release on March 3, 2017. [Twitter]

 

Edge of Tomorrow

Unearthed: Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow, above) is touted to direct Unearthed, based on the first in a forthcoming two-book series by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner. The novel is set in deep space and follows two young people who join forces to search for the secrets of an ancient civilization that may hold the key to the future of the human race. [Deadline]

Rules Don't Apply Trailer: A new trailer for Warren Beatty's Rules Don't Apply puts the emphasis on the humor in the romantic comedy. Alden Ehrenreich stars as the driver for an aspiring actress (Lily Collins) who seeks stardom in 1958 Hollywood under the eye of unpredictable billionaire Howard Hughes (Beatty).
