Guardians of the Galaxy: According to Latino Review, Marvel has made an offer to Bradley Cooper to voice the scene-stealing, machine gun-wielding Rocket Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy. No word yet on whether Cooper accepted the part, but if he does it'll be interesting to see what his voice (and not his good looks) brings to the role. Stay tuned. [Latino Review

Crimson Peak: Benedict Cumberbatch, riding high off his villainous role in Star Trek Into Darkness, has departed Guillermo del Toro's horror movie Crimson Peak. The film is not slated to begin filming until February, so there is still plenty of time to find someone else to star alongside Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska and Charlie Hunnam (Pacific Rim). No reason was given for Cumberbatch's exit. [Variety]

American Sniper: Some directors might be intimidated to follow in the footsteps of Steven Spielberg, but not Clint Eastwood. He's in talks to replace Spielberg as director of American Sniper, which is set to star Bradley Cooper as former military sniper Chris Kyle; Spielberg recently departed the project due to budget issues. Eastwod is just starting production on the musical Jersey Boys, but could start working on American Sniper early next year. [Twitch / THR]

Pompeii Trailer: We just saw a sexy pic of Kit Harington as a gladiator in the upcoming Pompeii, and now we get to see him in motion -- briefly. Harington romances Emily Browning as a noblewoman, but we barely see her in the first trailer. Instead, it's all about setting a creepy mood and teasing images of bodies, action and a volcano erupting. The movie heads to theaters on February 21, 2014. [Yahoo! via Collider]

The Book Thief Trailer: A young girl comes to live in Nazi Germany with kindly married couple Geoffrey Rush and Emily Watson, who are hiding a dangerous secret. The new trailer for The Book Thief effectively lays out the premise and the peril. The movie steals its way into theaters on November 15. [MovieClips]
