Gone Girl

The Accountant: Ben Affleck, who stars in Gone Girl (opening in theaters tomorrow), is in talks to star as The Accountant. The role is more deadly than it sounds: Affleck would play a mild-mannered accountant "who moonlights as a lethal assassin." He still needs to finish filming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but then will have time next year before starting work on his own directorial effort, the Prohibition-era drama Live by Night, in July. I Am Legend

I Am Legend: Richad Matheson's vampire novel I Am Legend, first published in 1954, has served as direct inspiration for three movies so far, most recently a 2007 blockbuster starring Will Smith. With Smith resisting sequels and prequels, Warner Bros. has turned to another source, hiring former iPhone salesman (?!) Gary Graham to rework his original script, described as a sci-fi version of the classic Western The Searchers, starring John Wayne, into a reboot for a proposed new I Am Legend franchise. Interstellar Trailer: Christopher Nolan's Interstellar will open on November 5 (i.e., two days early) in theaters showing it in 35 mm, 70 mm, and IMAX, and, judging by a new trailer, everyone will want to see the movie as soon as possible. This trailer moves quickly into outer space, and then to another planet; Michael Caine and Anne Hathaway also star. [MovieClips]
