X-Men: Days of Future Past: Who shot JFK? The assassination of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy may never be explained to everyone's satisfaction, but a new suspect has been identified: Magneto. The character, played by Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender in the upcoming movie, is held responsible via the new "bent bullet" theory, according to the video below. [The Bent Bullet via Collider]

Kojak: Vin Diesel was announced as the star of a big-screen version of 1970s TV show Kojak back in December, with the writers of James Bond's latest, Skyfall, brought on to write a script. Recently asked by a fan who he wanted to work with, Diesel replied, "Kojak… New York… Ang Lee…" Most recently, Lee was said to be directing a 3D boxing epic, but that project is still in its early stages. Uptown Saturday Night: A big success back in 1974 for Bill Cosby and Sidney Poitier, who directed, the jaunty comedy Uptown Saturday Night has defied attempts to remake it so far, but Will Smith and Denzel Washington are ready to star, with Adam McKay (Anchorman: The Legend Continues) on board to direct. Now Nicholas Stoller (The Muppets) has been hired to write a new draft of the screenplay that will, hopefully, please everyone so the film can start shooting next summer. [Variety]

The Maltese Falcon: Humphrey Bogart wonderfully described it as the "stuff that dreams are made of," but it turns out that the prop that played a central role in 1941's classic The Maltese Falcon comes with a very high price. Weighing in at 45 pounds and measuring 12 inches high, the statuette -- actually made of lead -- sold at auction for more than $4 million. [Los Angeles Times]

Gimme Shelter Trailer: Vanessa Hudgens cheerfully introduces the first trailer for Gimme Shelter, in which she stars as a dirty, desperate, pregnant teenager who finds the family she yearns for in a homeless shelter. James Earl Jones, Brendan Fraser and Rosario Dawson also star; the movie opens in theaters on January 24, 2014. [Yahoo!]
