Star Wars Episode VII

Star Wars: Episode VII: More than 67,000 people responded to an open casting call for Star Wars: Episode VII late last year, and now two of those candidates have scored roles in the movie: Crystal Clarke, an American actress, and Pip Andersen, a British actor and "skilled practioner" of parkour. The production will also take a two-week hiatus during August while adjustments in the schedule are made to accommodate the recent injury of Harrison Ford. The movie is still on track to be released on December 18, 2015. [StarWars.com]

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Scarlett Johansson: A French judge has ruled in favor of Scarlett Johansson, who sued author Grégoire Delacourt because his novel The First Thing You Look At revolves around a woman described as a lookalike for the actress. While the court agreed on the charge of defamation because the fictional character has two affairs, it ruled against Johannson's claim that the novel had "fraudently exploited" her. Johansson married a French citizen and lives part-time in the country. [The Guardian]
