The Amazing Spider-Man 2: A new teaser poster for the latest installment of the web-slinging franchise, starring a bemasked Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker, keeps things very, very simple, as in it doesn't tell us anything we don't already know. Which, in its own mysterious way, is a tiny bit refreshing. [Latino Review]

Gilligan's Island/Kinison: "Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale," a tale of how every 1960s sitcom seems destined to serve as the springboard for a modern movie version. The latest example is Gilligan's Island, set to star Josh Gad, in the tale of seven passengers on a tiny ship who are shipwrecked on a deserted island; Gad will cowrite the script. Gad has also been set to play the late comedian Sam Kinison, known for his screaming voice and sharp wit, in Kinison, a biopic to be directed by Larry Charles (Borat). [Deadline]

The Wind Rises: The final film by retiring animation master Hayao Miyazaki has already stirred up controversy for its depiction of a man who designed fighter planes for Japan's military during World War II. The Wind Rises is heading to release in U.S. theaters on February 21, 2014, and the all-star cast has been announced, led by Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Emily Blunt, with John Krasinski, William H. Macy, Martin Short, Stanley Tucci, Werner Herzog and Elijah Wood also voicing key characters. [Collider]

Blended Trailer: Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore are older, wiser and as funny as ever in their third pairing together (after The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates) in the first trailer for Blended. They play single parents who have a disastrous first date, but then are stuck together along with their children on a dream vacation in Africa. The movie is out on May 23, 2014. [Warner Bros.]
