Movie News: 'Pacific Rim 2' Confirmed for 2017; 'Snow White and the Huntsman 2' Moves Forward

Pacific Rim 2: Confirming rumors that have been circulating since the release of Pacific Rim last summer, Guillermo del Toro will direct a sequel, Pacific Rim 2, and Universal has scheduled it for release on April 17, 2017. Snow White and the Huntsman

Snow White and the Huntsman 2: Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption) is in "early talks" to direct a sequel to 2012's Snow White and the Huntsman. Reportedly, the sequel will focus on the Huntsman, with Chris Hemsworth reprising his role from the original. Charlize Theron is also expected to return as the evil queen, though Snow White, played by Kristen Stewart, may be reduced to a cameo role, if she appears at all. [The Wrap]
