The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: A new version of Alan Moore's comic book series The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is on its way. The series features well-known, Victorian Era fictional characters like Captain Nemo, Dorian Gray, and Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde as they team up to fight an evil foe; Sean Connery starred in a movie version (above) back in 2003. Daredevil

CHiPs: Vincent D'Onofrio (Daredevil) is in negotiations to play a villain in the big-screen version of CHiPs. The TV show ran from 1977 to 1983, revolving around two California Highway Patrol motor officers. The movie will star Dax Shephard, who co-wrote the screenplay and will direct, and Michael Pena; they will take on a gang of auto thieves, led by the villain. [THR]

Burying the Ex Trailer: Anton Yelchin stars in Joe Dante's Burying the Ex as a young man who wants to break up with his girlfriend (Ashley Greene), only to see her tragically killed. The Diary of a Teenage Girl

The Diary of a Teenage Girl Trailer: A young woman (Bel Powley) loses her virginity to an older man (Alexander Skarsgard), which creates complications because he's also dating her mom (Kristen Wiig). The coming-of-age indie The Diary of a Teenage Girl debuted to acclaim at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and is heading to theaters on August 7. [Yahoo]
