The Avengers: Age of Ultron: First reported months ago, Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass) has finally been confirmed to play Quicksilver in Marvel's The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Taylor-Johnson also stars in the upcoming reboot of Godzilla, and schedule conflicts between publicizing that movie and shooting the Avengers sequel had to be worked out. Quicksilver's twin sister, the Scarlet Witch, will be played by Elizabeth Olsen; the movie is due out on May 1, 2015. [The Wrap]

In the Heart of the Sea: Ron Howard is generously sharing photos from behind the scenes of his upcoming adventure In the Heart of the Sea, which tells a true 19th-century story about sailors whose ship was rammed by a sperm whale, forcing them to drift for 90 days in tiny boats, eventually turning to cannibalism. The pics from an indoor tank set only suggest the desperate fight for survival. [Ron Howard]

It Takes a Thief: What took them so long? Robert Wagner starred as a cat burglar who works for the U.S. government in the TV series It Takes a Thief, which ran for three seasons from 1968 to 1970 and became quite popular in syndication. A big-screen version is finally moving forward, with news that writer Greg Russo will draft a new screenplay. Now, who should play the suave and charming gentleman thief? [Variety]

Heavenly Game Trailers: The first trailers for upcoming animated movie Heavenly Sword are narrated by different characters and look very much like the video game on which the movie is based. The game was originally released in 2007 for Sony's PlayStation 3. Anna Torv, Thomas Jane and Alfred Molina voice the lead roles; the movie is due for release in the spring of 2014. [IGN]
