Jurassic World

Jurassic World: Director Colin Trevorrow shared a new image from Jurrassic World via social media, in honor of actor-filmmaker Richard Attenborough, who passed away last weekend. Attenborough, of course, played industrialist John Hammond in both Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park, and the photo, with the simple caption "In Memoriam," shows a statue of the character that reportedly appears in Trevorrow's new film, due for release on June 12, 2015. Thor The Dark World

Vacation: Chris Hemsworth (Thor: The Dark World) is in negotiations to appear in Vacation, the upcoming new installment in the series that began in 1983. Ed Helms is set to star as Rusty Griswold, the grown-up version of the teenage boy first played by Anthony Michael Hall; Hemsworth would play an anchorman who is married to Rusty's sister. Christina Applegate will play Rusty's wife, while Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo will reprise their roles as Rusty's parents. Charlie Day (Pacific Rim) is also in negotiations for a cameo role. The Cellar: Mary Elizabeth Winstead (in Smashed, above) will star in The Cellar as a woman who wakes up in an underground bunker. The only other person there, a stranger, tells her that the world is now uninhabitable, but tensions grow and she becomes determined to escape. John Goodman also stars; J.J. Abrams serves as one of the producers, with Dan Trachtenberg set to direct. [Deadline]

The Calling

The Calling Trailer: Heading to U.S. theaters on Friday, The Calling stars Susan Sarandon as a police detective in a sleepy town that wakes up to terror after a string of gruesome murders. She must catch a serial killer who is, apparently, motivated by some kind of "higher calling." Topher Grace, Gil Bellows, Ellen Burstyn and Donald Sutherland also star; the U.K. trailer is appropriately chilling. [Movies Coming Soon]
