Movie News: 'Jurassic World' Director Commits to Mysterious Script; Kristen Wiig Leads 'Masterminds' Trailer

Book of Henry: Director Colin Trevorrow (Jurassic World) will next take on Book of Henry. All that is known about the project is that Gregg Hurwitz, a best-selling crime novelist, has written an orginal screenplay, which Trevorrow says has stuck with him for years since he first read it. Production is scheduled to get underway in September, which fits in nicely before Trevorrow's other project, Intelligent Life, shoots next year. [Deadline]

 

The Hangover Part III

Vacation: Comedy sequel Vacation is moving its theatrical release date from October 9 to July 31, when it will open against Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation. Ed Helms (The Hangover Part III, above) stars as Rusty Griswold, the grown-up son from the 1983 original; Christina Applegate stars as his wife, with Leslie Mann as his sister Audrey and Chris Hemsworth as Audrey's husband. Metal Gear Solid: A movie version of video game Metal Gear Solid is moving forward. Jay Basu (Monsters: Dark Continent) has been hired to write the screenplay. The game, first released in 1998, revolves around a soldier named Solid Snake, a terrorist group, two hostages, and a nuclear threat. [Deadline]

Masterminds Trailer: Masterminds stars Kristen Wiig, Owen Wilson, Zach Galifianakis, and Jason Sudeikis in the comic story of an armored vehicle driver who gets involved in a multi-million dollar robbery, only to be double-crossed by his criminal compadres.
