Jurassic World

Jurassic World: If you squint your eyes and stare very hard at a photo shared by director Colin Trevorrow, then you might be able to make out the shadow of a dinosaur that might be appearing in the director's upcoming Jurassic World. It's all very mysterious -- Trevorrow captioned the photo simply "Night" -- but it's also a cool way to maintain as much secrecy as possible. The movie's due out on June 12, 2015. [Twitter]

The Avengers

The Incredible Hulk: After two stand-alone movies in 2003 and 2008, The Hulk (aka Bruce Banner) made his most successful appearance yet as part of Marvel's superpowered team-up movie The Avengers, as played by Mark Ruffalo. With Avengers: Age of Ultron heading to theaters on May 1, 2015, Ruffalo says that Marvel is once again considering spinning the character off in his own, stand-alone movie. But, he clarified, "there's still nothing definitive, not even a skeletal version of what it would be. I look forward to going down that road, if we could crack that nut." [Digital Spy]

Scooby-Doo

Scooby-Doo: We heard last year that Warner Bros. hired a writer for an animated feature version of Scooby-Doo, inspired by the Saturday-morning cartoon series that previously spawned two live-action/CGI hybrid films in 2002 and 2004. Now comes word that the studio is in talks with another writer, Randall Green, to pen a screenplay for a live-action reboot. [Variety]

The Knick

The Knick Trailer: Clive Owen stars in Steven Soderbergh's The Knick as a pioneering surgeon who is also addicted to cocaine. The series is set at a New York hospital in 1900, a time of "astonishly high mortality rates and zero antibiotics." Soderbergh directed all 10 episodes of the first season of the series, which will debut on Cinemax on August 8; the first trailer suggests it will not be a routine type of medical show.
